Our Mission
Reeds Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-based dog rescue organization serving the Northern Baltimore County area. We are dedicated to rescuing senior dogs and those deemed to be terminally ill from area shelters, as well as dogs at risk of decline in the shelter environment.
When appropriate, we place dogs in loving, responsible, and committed permanent homes through a comprehensive adoption process that includes reviews, meet-and-greets, and interviews to ensure suitable matches. We also provide education to prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of caring for an adopted dog.
All animals in our care receive appropriate veterinary treatment, training, and support. Reeds Rescue provides nurturing foster homes while they await adoption, and fosters are included in the decision-making process for all placements.
Together with our board, volunteers, local shelters, community partners, and fellow rescues, Reeds Rescue is committed to building a network of support that creates a better world for senior and terminally ill dogs.
